If so, stay with Mac OS Mojave, the last universal OS before Mac OS went 100% 64 bit. Mojave is fast and reliable. Otherwise, if needed, I will upgrade it to Mac OS 12 Monterey which is the most recent OS version supported by this machine. Do you sometimes need to run Windows software? If so, this Intel machine can run Windows 10 using virtualisation software (purchased separately). The Retina display is bright and glossy, resulting in rich, true colours. The old anti-reflective coating has been removed and the glass has been polished to perfection. This 2015 backlit keyboard has a great typing feel, before Apple changed the design to thinner, less reliable keyboards in 2016. The laptop has new built-in speakers to replace the originals. These are non-Apple replacement parts, so they don’t sound as rich as the Apple speakers but otherwise work OK. WiFi works well, but if you need an Ethernet LAN port you will need to use a dock or an adapter (not included). With the new genuine battery installed you will be getting around 10 hours of battery life and saving over $200 on the installation of a new Apple battery. Batteries last from 500 to sometimes nearer 1000 charge cycles, by which time they rarely hold a charge and have to be replaced. This new battery, purchased in 2022, has completed only 4 charge cycles to date! The MagSafe charger is included and has no faults or frayed cord.
